The coat of arms that represents us is that of the Marassini family one of the lineages that moved from Vicenza to the city of Verona. The lineage name-Marassi or Marassini-was a nickname derived from “marasso,” a term for the marsh viper, common in many parts of northern Italy.
They assumed the appellation “Brognoligo” because they owned an agrarian estate in this ancient municipality of the Alpone Valley, which then included Costalunga. Their mansion is located here, with the family coat of arms carved into the keystone of the front door.
A family that in name and possessions united both hamlets to which the Tessari family is also linked. The small winery was designed by grandfather Antonio in Costalunga on the foundations of the family home while the new facility is located in Brognoligo, at the foot of Mount Magnavacche.
