The Cellar

Located at the foot of the Magnavacche hill, the Tessari family’s new winery has been in operation since 2007. The structure is an ideal blend of functionality and tradition. Modern and sophisticated traits emphasize attention to detail, and carefully selected technologies make it possible to work with full respect for the grape variety and its characteristics.

Divided into three floors, the winery accommodates all stages of production, from winemaking to marketing.

On the ground floor, we find the grape harvesting and crushing area and the fermentation and winemaking tanks. The tanks are made entirely of steel and equipped with cooling plates that allow temperature control during all stages of winemaking. Bottling and bottle storage also takes place here. The innermost part, dug out at the foot of the mountain, allows the wines to be kept at a constant temperature all year round. In the same area, we find a corner dedicated to old vintages and the sales point.

Climbing the imposing staircase, we take a break to taste wines and appreciate local products in a convivial atmosphere. The tasting room can accommodate up to 20 people with the possibility of organizing events and dinners with our paired wines.

Finally, the second floor is designed for the drying of grapes destined for the production of Recioto. A production that originates from the dehydration of carefully selected bunches of grapes in September and pressed in February. The arrangement of the windows allows a natural passage of air from the hill behind the structure. The room thus benefits from the natural air flows between the plains and hills, ensuring slow and absolutely natural withering.
